My interest in medals started when my grandfather showed me the uniform he wore in World War II. He was in the 13th Armored Division and received the Purple Heart along with the various campaign medals for the war. He did not remember what they were all for, and so I had a little research project. The result you see here today. 

I have been collecting seriously for about 3 years now, and I have collected various medals and insignia over the years. Currently the collection grows by about 1 medal per month. The new addition is usually the featured medal of the month. I do my best to make certain everything I get is authentic and clearly stands out from 'ordinary' medals. I had originally thought to buy a complete set of modern medals, however I decided against it mostly because it was too expensive, and that it just is not as interesting as holding a piece of history.
