This medal was awarded
for participation in, or support of Operation Desert Shield and/or
Desert Storm. (1991-1992) It was Authorized for wear by the United
States military in 1995.
This
particular medal is of Italian manufacture, produced for the Kuwaiti
Government, and issued to the Kuwaiti military in 1991. The medal has a
slot brooch and both the ribbon and medal are in mint condition.
