Member Badge
This society was founded April 30, 1889. Membership in the
society requires that all members be male descendants of soldiers or
sailors
who fought for the revolutionary cause during the American War of
Independence.
All members in good standing are authorized to
wear the member badge.
Current and past chapter presidents are authorized to wear the medal
suspended
from a neck ribbon.
An 18k gold star may be worn on the breast ribbon of the Member Badge
or on the Official Neck Ribbon for each approved supplemental ancestor.
This badge is of current (Y2000) manufacture, and
is plated with 22K
gold. It is numbered 148980 and belongs to Mark Piersall (me).
